When you look across the world, we’re seeing increasing regulatory environments every place. A lot of organizations can look at that and say that can be a hindrance to how they’re going to survive, but the reality is the “Organizations that have best practices probably find this a good environment for themselves. They’ve got no problems complying with those regulations and in many cases it makes them a better organization.” So I think the organizations that are weaker may find this a challenge and it may be a hindrance to them being successful. The organizations that have good systems and processes in place are going to flourish in this environment, and it probably will make them stronger in their marketplace.
I’m going tell you that organizations that do a better job dealing with this are probably going to be more successful and elevate themselves in the publics’ eye and in the government’s eye. Organizations that struggle and find this to be a hindrance, likely aren’t going to succeed in that environment, are probably going to fail.
