Edge Zarrella, Global Head, IT Advisory, KPMG LLP — One of the great things that India did well is that it held an enterprise in outsourcing across a number of cities — Hyderabad, Goa, Pune, Mumbai, and Bangalore. Now, what China needs to do and show to the rest of the world is the depth of these Chinese cities. Having designated those 20 cities — these cities are very large — it is going to be important for China, because ultimately most C-class executives will always remember Beijing and Shanghai. They do not know about the other cities. I think this is a fantastic way for China, especially the government, to showcase what is happening in those other cities apart from Beijing and Shanghai.
Gary Matuszak, Global Chair, Information, Communications & Entertainment, KPMG LLP — As you look at China, there is a major investment by the Chinese government; they originally identified 10 cities that they wanted to focus on, which is now up to 20. With the support of the Chinese government, we are going to see significant advances and investment in outsourcing, and eventually coming up to par with what we see in India right now.
