The schedule includes roundtables to be held in London, Johannesburg and Frankfurt, with additional cities to be announced shortly. The roundtable discussions will feature local thought leaders, including investors, regulators, Audit Committee representatives, and accounting professionals and will provide a platform for leaders to engage in debate and candid discussion about the perception, value and evolution of audit.
“Economia’s roundtable events are essential to opening up an ongoing dialogue about the future of audit,” said Larry Bradley, Global Head of Audit, KPMG International. “Audit is evolving and we need to understand how audit can be more relevant to stakeholders and investors, what changes could take place and what they mean for the capital markets and society as a whole.”
The first roundtable discussion will take place in London on May 13, 2014.
