German Retail Property Market Analysis 

Abstract - In 2010 the transaction volume for retail properties in Germany experienced a significant growth (138% y-o-y) to €8 billion. This growth was mainly driven by foreign investors. At the same time retail properties have become the dominant market segment in terms of transaction volume. For 2011 market participants expect a further increase in the transaction volume for both the German property market in general and for the retail property market.
