    In response to the recent crisis, the G20 has set an agenda for change in the financial sector. Initiatives are converging in many jurisdictions, and around key issues. National imperatives, however, retain a significant influence on the final shape of regulation and may yet limit attempts to create a truly common framework. Nonetheless, commitment to improvements in capital, liquidity, governance and supervision aim to create a substantially different regulatory and operational framework.
