On 15 January 2010 the ISG issued a comment letter to IOSCO in response to the IOSCO Consultation Report: Transparency of Firms that Audit Public Companies on behalf of the international network of KPMG member firms.
The letter expressed support for the efforts of IOSCO to enhance audit quality. The comment letter also raised concern about other issues impacting choice in the market for audits of larger public companies including inconsistent regulatory requirements and unlimited liability for auditors.
