Comment letter on IOSCO Consultation Report: Exploration of Non-Professional Ownership Structures for Audit Firms 

On 15 January 2010 the ISG issued a comment letter to IOSCO in response to the IOSCO Consultation Report: Exploration of Non-Professional Ownership Structures for Audit Firms on behalf of the international network of KPMG member firms.  The letter expressed support for the efforts of IOSCO to increase choice in the market for audits of larger public companies.  The comment letter also suggested that work on transparency be carried out in conjunction with audit oversight regulators and the profession and challenged some of the items proposed for public transparency reporting by audit firms.
