On 15 January 2010 the ISG issued a comment letter to IOSCO in response to the IOSCO Consultation Report: Auditor Communications on behalf of the international network of KPMG member firms.
The letter expressed support for the efforts of IOSCO to consider whether the standard audit report communicates appropriate information to investors. The comment letter also highlighted the importance of working with the auditing standard setter, IAASB, on any follow up regarding auditor reporting.
