Not unlike other industries, the global metals industry is in the midst of unprecedented economic conditions. The question now is where does the industry go for the balance of 2009?

KPMG's Global Metals practice recently held a webcast to discuss this issue. On this Webcast, we were pleased to have Mark L. Parr, Managing Director for KeyBanc Capital Markets Inc.’s Metals Team, Julian Thomas, KPMG in the United Kingdom’s Global Head of Supply Chain Management, and Andy Williams, KPMG in Singapore’s Asia Pacific Regional Partner for Operational Improvement. These individuals have a combined 30+ years of Metals experience which they drew upon to discuss current pressure points on metals supply chains and provide their thoughts on potential approaches to help alleviate them.
