"Rising Stars" is a program where entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and university professors from Greece and abroad, volunteer to support ambitious young people in their efforts to transform an idea into a successful business model. KPMG in Greece, in cooperation with the other participating companies, volunteers to become a "mentor" who will provide these young entrepreneurs with the know-how and guidance to implement their ideas.
The initiative is organized as part of TEDxAcademy, a Greek organization affiliated with the international TED Network. The name "TED" stands for "Technology, Entertainment, Design" and is an international organization with a presence in many countries around the globe. Its purpose is to organize events, competitions and conferences, in order to spread innovative ideas.
