Fri 26 April
16:00 – 17:30 Plenary session
16:00 – 17:30

What is happening in the tax authority world?

As the global economy continues to struggle, tax authorities are facing increasing pressure to maximize tax revenue collection for their jurisdiction. Transfer pricing has been identified as a very lucrative vehicle for pursuing this aim. Accordingly, the pressure on taxpayers to demonstrate compliance with the arm’s-length principle continues to grow, with the threat of double taxation always looming in the background. This plenary will offer taxpayers an exceptional opportunity to hear firsthand from a tax authority speaker. Our special guest speaker will be invited to share transfer pricing insights on potential changes which may be anticipated going forward and thoughts on how taxpayers can work with tax authorities to resolve transfer pricing controversy matters.

Sean F. Foley, KPMG’s Global Head of Transfer Pricing Services will lead the panel discussion with Cheng Chi, Partner in charge, China and Hong Kong SAR, Global Transfer Pricing Services (KPMG in China), Loek Helderman, KPMG’s Head of Global Tax Efficient Supply Chain Management and François Vincent, KPMG’s Global Leader for Transfer Pricing Dispute Resolution, Head of Transfer Pricing for KPMG/STC Partners in France, (KPMG in France).
