Ilya– Senior Tax Consultant, Russia
Ilya: “Good morning, it is 8:45 in the morning and I am going to work with my colleague Katarina. I live five minutes by car from my home to Moscow City.”
Ilya enters the KPMG office.
Ilya: “My name is Ilya and I am a senior consultant with the KPMG tax department. It’s my floor - 41st. From this floor you can see all of Moscow. Now I am going to my workplace to begin my day. We just finished our global transfer pricing project during which we prepared a full scope transfer pricing documentation including development of transfer pricing model. It looks like this, here it is. Oh, excuse me, it’s an email from my colleague – one moment.”
Ilya on the phone…
Ilya: “We always work in teams consisting of maybe five, six or seven members. One of them is a Partner, manager and others are consultants and senior consultants. My day usually consists of various tasks. Such as preparing seminars, participating in conference calls and participating in meetings with clients. For example, today I have a very important conference call with the client where my team is also involved. The seminar is devoted to the taxation in the Netherlands and will be presented by our Dutch colleagues. Now it is time to invite clients here, I am a little bit nervous.
Looking out the window of the building: “Check this out, this is a rainbow…the Russian rainbow goes the other way around.”
Ilya: “It’s 7pm, I live 10 minutes by bicycle and there is my work place – Moscow City, the highest office building in Moscow.”
