Ed’s audit clients cover a number of financial services areas including Funds, Fund Administration and Investment Management. Ed also works on a number of varying Advisory assignments particularly focusing on Transaction Services projects (e.g. Acquisitions, IPO’s).
Ed joined KPMG in 2003, initially qualifying as a chartered accountant within the audit department, attaining a place on the ICAEW Order of Merit in June 2004. Since then Ed has worked in a dual role in Audit and Advisory becoming a Manager in 2008. During this time he has worked on a wide range of clients particularly focussing on finance sector related businesses, for example, fund managers and administrators, trust and company administrators and investment holding companies. These companies also include a number of AIM listed entities.
Ed has worked on a number of varying Advisory assignments particularly focusing on Transaction Services projects (e.g. Acquisitions, IPO’s) within the ‘offshore’ regions in the financial services sector. The focus of this work has been on due diligence including acquisition due diligence, vendor due diligence and IPO related work. These transactions have included operations in many offshore jurisdictions (e.g. Gibraltar, Jersey and the Isle of Man). A number of engagements undertaken have involved looking at forecast financial information, forecasting assumptions and working capital requirements.
Ed also has experience of acquisition research and valuation principles.
During 2010 Ed completed a secondment (9 months) with a leading UK Bank in their debt advisory team dealing with a distressed loan portfolio and credit structuring.
