Andrew Osei Akoto is the Partner in charge of the Risk and Compliance unit in Ghana. He is a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants (CA), Ghana and a fellow of Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (FCMA). He also holds a Bachelor's degree from the University of Ghana Business School and an MBA in Banking and Finance.
He has extensive experience in project management and has led and managed several projects for our varied public and private sector clients in oil & gas, telecommunications, power, financial services, and manufacturing industries.
Andy has wide ranging experience in Audit, Accounting and Management Information Systems (MIS) related assignments and has spearheaded the design, installation and implementation of financial management software at various client sites.
He has consulted for a number of international organisations, led engagement teams to conduct management investigations and applied risk management techniques and tools to critical business systems and processes.
Having worked with a number of non-governmental organisations, he has deep understanding of their reporting systems and information requirements. He is also very familiar with government budgetary systems and the reporting requirements of donor agencies.
His key areas of experience include internal audit and fraud investigations; information risk management; project accounting and information systems management; risk assessment and controls and corporate governance.
