Listen to the broadcast recording [MP3] where Jennifer Clement, Partner, KPMG Enterprise and Rivers Corbett, founder of ReLISH Gourmet Burgers, share with listeners of FOX FM and Capital FM in Fredericton the importance for entrepreneurs to set aside time to focus "on"’ the business rather than spending too much time working "in" the business.

A serial entrepreneur, Rivers Corbett and his business story along with 18 other leading Canadian entrepreneurs is featured in the best selling Canadian book entitled, That’ll Never Work which is available at any local book store or online at Indigo or Amazon.

"Any entrepreneur can attest to the fact that starting a business is incredibly challenging, regardless of the economic conditions,” explained Jennifer Clement.  "Keeping it running and growing is just as tough, if not more so. It takes commitment, conviction, intensity, a positive nature, and, as noted by each of this book’s subjects, a great deal of perseverance."

Some owners of mid-sized businesses can get mired in the details. They become so heavily immersed in managing all aspects of their company’s day-to-day operations there isn’t time for anything else. Clearly, careful management is critical to business success but sometimes it impedes owners from realizing their long-term vision. For some, clarity and perspective comes with a step back and a bit of self-analysis.
