On December 4, 2014 KPMG Inc. was appointed as the Interim Receiver of A-1 Asphalt Maintenance.

 

Abacan Resource Corporation

On March 2, 2000, Abacan Resource Corporation made an assignment in bankruptcy pursuant to the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act ("BIA"). KPMG Inc. has been appointed as trustee (the "Trustee").

 

Acculink Fence and Wire

Please take notice that on October 5, 2015 KPMG Inc. was appointed as the Trustee in the Notice of Intention to file a Proposal of Acculink Fence and Wire.

 

Aero Inventory (Canada) Inc.

On December 1, 2009 the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) issued an order appointing KPMG Inc. as receiver and manager of Aero Inventory (Canada) Inc./Aero Inventaire (Canada) Inc.

 

Aero Inventory (UK) limited and Aero Inventory plc.

On November 11, 2009, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (Commercial List) issued an order (the "Recognition Order") recognizing administration orders made November 11, 2009 (the "English Orders") by the High Court of Justice (Chancery Division, Companies Court) of England and Wales in respect of each of Aero Inventory (UK) Limited and Aero Inventory plc (together, the "Foreign Debtors"), and recognizing the proceedings contemplated by the English Orders as foreign main proceedings pursuant to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C., 1985, c. C.-36.

 

The English Orders contemplate the Foreign Debtors' protection under the Insolvency Act, 1986, Schedule B1, in England and Wales. Pursuant to the English Orders, James Robert Tucker, Richard Heis and Allan Watson Graham of KPMG LLP (the "Foreign Representatives") were appointed as joint administrators of the affairs, business and property of the Foreign Debtors. KPMG Inc. was appointed as Information Officer in Canada.

 

All-Wood Fibre Ltd.

Please be advised that on March 25, 2015 KPMG Inc. was appointed Receiver of All-Wood Fibre Ltd. pursuant to an order of the BC Supreme Court. On March 31, 2015, the Company was adjudged bankrupt and KPMG Inc. was appointed Trustee.

 

Aluminum Foundry and Pattern Works Ltd.

On February 25, 2014, Aluminum Foundry and Pattern Works Ltd. was placed under receivership by the Superior Court of Quebec.

 

ART Advanced Research Technologies Inc.

On February 18, 2013, ART Advanced Research Technologies Inc. ( "ART" or the "Company" ) filed an assignment and KPMG Inc. was appointed as trustee of the estate of the bankrupt by the official receiver, subject to affirmation by the creditors of the trustee's appointment or substitution of another trustee by the creditors.

 

Atlas Block Co. Limited

On October 4, 2013 KPMG Inc. was appointed as receiver and manager of Atlas Block Co. Limited, Atlas Block (Brockville) Ltd and 1035162 Ontario Inc.  

 

BAK Battery Canada Ltd.

On April 2, 2013, BAK Battery Canada Ltd. filed an assignment and KPMG Inc. was appointed as trustee of the estate of the bankrupt by the official receiver. 

 

Belmont Dynamic Growth Fund

On August 6, 2009, KPMG Inc. was appointed by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice as receiver and manager of Belmont Dynamic Growth Fund ("Receiver").

 

Canadian Biofuel Inc.
On November 13, 2014 KPMG Inc. was appointed as receiver (the “Receiver”) of the assets and undertakings of Canadian Biofuel Inc. (“CBI” or the “Company”) pursuant to an Order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice.

 

Cervus Financial Group Inc.

On June 8, 2006, KPMG Inc. was appointed Monitor of Cervus Financial Group Inc. and certain of its subsidiaries (collectively the "Applicants").

 

Chancellor Reinsurance Company of Canada

On April 23, 2012, an order was made in the Proceedings by the Supreme Court of British Columbia (the "Claims Process Order") under the Insurance Companies Act establishing the procedure pursuant to which creditors may prove their claims, if any, against Chancellor.

 

Conceptwear

On May 24th 2012, Conceptwear Inc. ("Conceptwear") filed a notice of intention to file a proposal pursuant to Section 50(4) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. KPMG is the Trustee acting in re: the proposal of Conceptwear.

 

Co-Op Atlantic

On June 25, 2015, Co-Op Atlantic, Co-Op Energy Ltd., and C A Realty Ltd. (collectively, the "Companies") sought and obtained an Initial Order (the "Initial Order") under the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C. 1985, c. C-36, as amended (the "CCAA").

 

FactorCorp

On October 17, 2007, KPMG Inc. was appointed by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice as Receiver and Manager of FactorCorp Inc. and FactorCorp Financial Inc.

By a further Order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice made on March 25, 2008, KPMG Inc. was appointed as Trustee in Bankruptcy of the Consolidated Bankruptcy Estate of FactorCorp Inc. and FactorCorp Financial Inc. The first meeting of creditors was held on April 24, 2008, at which time inspectors were appointed to the Estate.

 

G.P. Masonry (Barrie) Limited

Please take notice that on July 31, 2015 KPMG Inc. was appointed as the Receiver of G.P. Masonry (Barrie) Limited.

 

Great Basin Gold Ltd.

On September 19, 2012, Great Basin Gold Ltd. (the "Company" or "GBGL") filed an application before the Supreme Court of British Columbia (the "British Columbia Court") pursuant to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C. 1985 c. C-36 as amended (the "CCAA"). 

 

Great Lakes Biodiesel Inc.

On August 27, 2014, KPMG Inc. was appointed Interim Receiver (the “Interim Receiver”) of Great Lakes Biodiesel Inc. (“GLB”), Einer Canada Inc. (“Einer”) and Bioversel Trading Inc. (“BTI”, and collectively with GLB and ECI, the "Companies”), pursuant to an Interim Receiver Appointment Order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (the "Court Order”).

 

Huron Concrete Creditor Link Site

Please take notice that on Wednesday December 3, 2014 Huron Concrete Supply Limited (“Huron” or the “Company”) filed an assignment in bankruptcy and KPMG Inc. was appointed trustee (the “Trustee”) pursuant to the Certificate of Appointment issued by the Official Receiver.

 

I.D.S. Intelligent Data Systems (Canada) Inc.

On February 16, 2016, I.D.S. Intelligent Data Systems (Canada) Inc. (« IDS »  or the "Company" ) filed a notice of intention to file a proposal pursuant to Section 50(4) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

 

Ivanhoe Energy

KPMG Inc. was appointed Receiver (the “Receiver”) of Ivanhoe Energy Inc. ("Ivanhoe") pursuant to a Receiver Appointment Order of the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta dated June 16, 2015 and amended June 17, 2015 (“the Court Order”). The Court Order can be found below.

 

Laura's Shoppe (P.V.) Inc.

On July 31th, 2015, Laura’s Shoppe (P.V.) Inc. ("Laura", the "Company" or the "Debtor") filed a notice of intention to file a proposal pursuant to Section 50.4 (1) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act (the "BIA") and KPMG inc. (“KPMG”) has consented to act as Trustee under the proposal.

 

On August 12, 2015, the Commercial Division of the Quebec Superior Court of the District of Montreal (the "Court") has issued an order (the "Initial Order") pursuant the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act ("CCAA") which provides a stay of proceedings against the Debtor until September 11, 2015. This delay has been extended to November 30, 2015.

 

Pursuant to the Initial Order, KPMG was appointed Monitor of the Company and the proposal proceedings commenced by Laura under the BIA are hereby taken up and continued under the CCAA.

 

Pursuant to the Order for the Filing of the Plan of Compromise and Arrangement and the Calling of a Creditors' Meeting, a meeting of Creditors will therefore be held on November 19, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. (Eastern Standard Time) at the Hilton Garden Inn, 380 Sherbrooke St. West, Montreal, Quebec, H3A 0B1, in the James McGill ABC Room. Le Groupe Luxorama Ltée

On October 26th, 2012, Le Groupe Luxorama Ltée ( "Luxor" or the "Company" ) filed a notice of intention to file a proposal pursuant to Section 50(4) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act.

 

Lindor

On June 23, 2012, Lindor Inc. ("Lindor") filed a notice of intention to file a proposal pursuant to Section 50(4) of the Bankruptcy and Insolvency Act. KPMG is the Trustee acting in re: the proposal of Lindor.

 

Maple Bank

On February 16, 2016, the Attorney General of Canada filed an application before the Commercial List of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (the “Court”) in respect of Maple Bank GmbH Canada Branch (“Maple Bank”) pursuant to the Winding-up and Restructuring Act, R.S.C 1985, c. W-11, as amended ("WURA").

 

The Court made an order (the "Winding-up Order") on February 16, 2016 and appointed KPMG Inc. as liquidator, in respect of the winding up of Maple Bank and of the assets, as defined in section 618 of the Bank Act, S.C. 1991, c.46, as amended, (the “Bank Act”) of Maple Bank.

 

MF Global Canada Co

A Bankruptcy Order was made against MF Global Canada Co. on November 4, 2011. KPMG Inc. was appointed as Trustee of the Estate of the Bankrupt by the Court.

 

Millennium Stimulation Services Ltd.
KPMG Inc. was appointed Receiver (the "Receiver") of Millennium Stimulation Services Ltd. ("Millennium") pursuant to a Receiver Appointment Order of the Court of Queen's Bench of Alberta dated March 24, 2016 (the "Court Order").

 

New Life Capital Corp.

On December 17, 2008 KPMG Inc., was appointed by the Ontario Superior Court of Justice as Receiver and Manager of New Life Capital Corp., New Life Investments Inc. and various related companies.

 

Parallel Energy Trust, Parallel Energy Commercial Trust and Parallel Energy Inc.

On November 9, 2015, Parallel Energy Trust, Parallel Energy Commercial Trust and Parallel Energy Inc. (collectively, the "Company") filed an application before the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta pursuant to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C. 1985 c. C-36 as amended.

 

Pareto Corporation Inc.

On October 2, 2013, Pareto Corporation Inc. and Pareto Holdings Ltd. (hereafter referred to collectively as "Pareto") filed an assignment in bankruptcy and KPMG Inc. was appointed trustee (the "Trustee").

 

Portus Alternative Asset Management Inc.

On March 4, 2005, KPMG Inc. (KPMG) was appointed Receiver of all the 'assets' of Portus Alternative Asset Management Inc., Portus Asset Management Inc., and BancNote Corp. (the Portus Group). As Receiver, KPMG will take control immediately of the assets and records of the Portus Group. KPMG will also begin an assessment of Portus and its associated companies and report back to the Ontario Superior Court of Justice within 15 days.

Please take notice that on Tuesday, December 10, 2013 KPMG Inc. was appointed Receiver (the "Receiver") over the assets and undertakings of Princess Centre Realty (the "Princess Centre") pursuant to an Order of the Ontario Superior Court of Justice (the "Order").

 

2907160 Canada Inc. (formerly known as PROSEP INC.)

On October 28, 2013, the Superior Court granted 2907160 Canada Inc. (formerly known as ProSep Inc.)'s Motion for the Issuance of an Initial Order pursuant to the CCAA.

On October 14, 2014, Québec Lithium Inc., QLI Métaux Inc., RB Energy Inc. and Sirocco Mining Inc. (collectively, the "Companies") filed an application before the Superior Court of Quebec pursuant to the Companies' Creditors Arrangement Act, R.S.C. 1985 c. C-36 as amended.
