Lee Hodgkinson

Lee has over 25 years of experience in public accounting and focuses on the mining industry. He serves as National Industry Leader of KPMG's Canadian Mining Practice and served as the Global Director of KPMG's Mining Group for eight years.


Lee has a strong background in financial accounting under various GAAPs, including US GAAP and IFRS.  He is also familiar with regulations and auditing standards related to securities filings and internal control audits. In addition, he has extensive experience in the Board room, working in foreign environments and a strong knowledge of the global mining industry.


Having served as the lead audit engagement partner on several of Canada's leading mining companies has given him direct experience and insight into the governance structures, audit committee workings and the skill sets necessary for leading finance executives to succeed in today's environment.


Lee has led a variety of projects in the mining industry building a deep understanding of the industry's issues, including reserve estimation processes, mine valuation techniques and methodologies as well as associated securities rules.  These have ranged from financial due diligences, participating in equity and debt offerings, initial public offerings and valuations. His work with his clients has also given him experience working in many different countries, including several key mining geographies. His work with KPMG's international mining group has taken him to over 30 mines on six continents.

Victoria has over 14 years experience working at KPMG and focuses on the Mining Industry. Scott Jeffery

Scott is a Partner in the Tax practice at KPMG in Vancouver. He has over 11 years of experience in providing tax services and focuses exclusively on tax issues for mining and resource companies with activities in Canada and internationally. Scott has twice been seconded to KPMG's Toronto office, working with the National Tax Practice and the Toronto Mining Tax Group.

Daniel is an audit partner with over 17 years of experience at KPMG in Chile and is currently based in Santiago. His audit experience at KPMG also included working in Australia and the UK. Daniel is KPMG's Global Copper Sector Leader and is a member of KPMG's Global Mining group where he is the Mining leader for Chile.


In Chile, he leads the financial statement audit engagements of BHP Billiton Base Metals, Kinross entities, as well as Australian based subsidiaries operating in Chile such as China Yunnan Copper, Oz Minerals Exploration Chile, Transfield Services and Origin Energy Limited.


Daniel established his Energy and Natural Resources capabilities on clients such as Delta Gold (Gold producer) and Energy Resources of Australia (Uranium producer).  In addition to regular audit activities, Daniel was involved in acquisition accounting guidance provided to Delta Gold as part of the takeover of the separately listed,  Ross Mining. Rama Ayman is a Partner and Global Head of KPMG in the UK's Metals & Mining Corporate Finance practice and bolster KPMG's presence in mergers & acquisitions (M&A), equity fund raising, IPO advisory, and joint-ventures (JVs) & strategic partnership advisory in the steel and metals & mining sectors worldwide.


Rama has over 20 years of investment banking experience in corporate finance (CF), M&A and equity capital markets. Rama has built extensive experience in the steel and metals & mining sectors across Europe, CIS, America, India, China, Japan, Latin America, Middle East and North Africa.

Sheri Pearce

Sheri is an Audit partner in KPMG's Denver, USA office, and leads both the US and Denver mining audit practices. She has more than 20 years of experience providing audit and business advisory services to publicly and privately held entities including financial statement audits, due diligence services, acquisitions, and public company filings.


Sheri has worked with a variety of clients in the audit area throughout her career focusing mainly in the mining and oil and gas industries. She serves as the U.S. mining representative on the firm's Global Mining team and on the Global Energy and Natural Resources International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Network. Her specific project experience includes serving as an advisor to clients regarding financial, accounting, and business matters, and assisting clients with acquisitions and divestitures and Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance. Sheri has significant SEC experience including performing annual audits, security offerings, and preparing comment letter responses. In addition, she has experience with benefit plan audits, serving as an Employee Benefit Plan resource partner and with reporting under IFRS as a qualified IFRS partner. Norm J. Mayr

Norm Mayr is an Audit Partner with over 30 years of experience. He is the Leader of the Greater Vancouver Area Mining practice, and the Professional Practice Partner for the Vancouver office. In his role as Professional Practice Partner, Norm consults with other partners who deal with complex accounting, audit, or securities issues in their client base. This allows us to make decisions on complex accounting matters at the local level.


He currently acts and has acted as lead engagement partner or quality control review partner for our office’s large multinational clients, including a number of public companies in the mining industry. Norm is also a designated technical resource professional for IFRS.


He was a founding member of the CICA Accounting Standards Board, and a member of the Canadian Advisory Group to the International Accounting Standards Committee.
