The Okanagan Thompson Region comprises three office locations— Kelowna, Vernon, and Kamloops. We operate as one business unit, and our professionals deliver audit, tax and advisory services to individuals and businesses, as well as government and not-for-profit organizations.
This central Okanagan city of about 100,000 people situated along the shores of Okanagan Lake is the largest centre for urban development, business, commerce, retail and health care services between Greater Vancouver and Alberta.
Kelowna’s growing cultural district features galleries, museums, theatres, artists’ studios, fine dining and unique shops. Prospera Place, a 6,000-seat multi-purpose facility, attracts major entertainers and events and is also located in the heart of the city. Just 10 minutes from downtown you’ll find vast orchards and vineyards, and the Spring, Summer and Fall Wine Festivals offer hundreds of activities focused on wine making, wine tasting and touring.
Located in North Okanagan close to two beautiful lakes, this city of about 34,000 people is halfway between Vancouver and Calgary, meaning businesses in the city are well positioned to access many markets.
The parks and trail systems in Vernon and its surrounding areas offer an abundance of year-round recreational activities such as hiking, biking, swimming, golf, skiing and much more.
While downtown, you can stroll through green spaces, enjoy international cuisine, shop and take in the city’s many cultural attractions including the Heritage Murals. Painted on many of Vernon’s buildings, this series of 27 murals depicts the history and culture of Vernon, and has transformed the downtown into a vast outdoor art gallery.
Kamloops is centrally located in the south-central interior of British Columbia close to the Shuswap Lake System. A city of close to 85,000 people, Kamloops’s economy has traditionally been driven by resource-based industries such as forestry, mining and agriculture. Today, the city has a more diverse economy that includes burgeoning tourism, manufacturing and high-tech industries.
Kamloops has been dubbed the Tournament Capital of Canada, having played host to national and international sporting events in junior hockey, curling, cycling, tennis and more. Its first-class facilities, including arenas, an aquatic centre, walking trails and numerous sporting fields, promote a healthy, active lifestyle.
The city is also a terrific place to shop, sit down to a wonderful meal, take in a concert or relax at an urban spa.
