Each summer, Summer Interns from across Canada participate in the National Boardroom Skills Challenge. Interns work in teams to develop realistic business solutions to a real-life challenge that the firm is currently facing. Winning local teams travelled to the National Competition, which was hosted in Calgary earlier this month, to present their solutions to business leaders from across Canada.
Giles Ochs, a member from the winning Vancouver team says, “NBSC was an amazing experience. It was great to meet and socialize with interns from all over the country, and also to develop some relevant presentation and case skills. It really demonstrated the investment KPMG makes in their employees.”
Alexandra Castaldi, a Summer Intern from Toronto who participated in the National Competition reflects on the experience, as she says, “It was a phenomenal experience and it was amazing that we got to try our hand at solving a real-world issue and present our ideas to very important people in the KPMG's Canadian Audit practice. The Calgary office was so welcoming and we had so much fun with the other Canadian interns. And of course we had a blast at the KPMG in Calgary stampede events, and experienced the whole culture of the Stampede. All in all I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and feel so lucky to have been able to represent the GTA interns.”
