Each year, the national competition sets out to determine the top Canadian employers that are industry leaders in offering exceptional workplaces for their employees. KPMG, along with the other winning organizations, will be officially announced as a Top Employer for 2011 in a special editorial published by The Globe and Mail on October 15th and on the job search engine eluta.ca.
“We are proud to be recognized as a Top Employer for 2011. Winning this prestigious award for the eighth time speaks to our firm’s efforts not only this year, but on an ongoing basis, to ensure that KPMG is a great place for people to build meaningful careers for life,” says Chief Human Resources Officer Mario Paron. “Having a culture that attracts and develops the very best is an integral part of our firm’s employer brand and is vital to ensuring we bring value to our clients in every interaction. This recognition demonstrates that we continue to move in the right direction—and we won’t stop here. Having the absolute best people recognize KPMG as a top employer is important to our firm and we will continue to raise the bar.”
KPMG went head-to-head with numerous organizations in a rigorous evaluation process conducted by the competition’s editorial partners—The Globe and Mail and eluta.ca. Employers were evaluated according to eight criteria: physical environment; work atmosphere and communications; social, health, financial, and family benefits; vacation and time off; employee communications; performance management; training and skills; and community involvement. Organizations were graded in comparison to others within the same industry, receiving scores between C+ and A+ in each category. Evidently, KPMG made the grade!
At KPMG, we aim to attract and develop the very best people by implementing outstanding programs that cater to our employees’ needs. The external recognition gained from being named one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers is an honour; it also demonstrates that KPMG is a great place to build a meaningful career.
