Scott has been with KPMG for 16 years and has worked with a wide variety of both private and public companies during this time. His first 4 years with KPMG were spent in Vancouver before transferring to the Calgary office in 2000. Since arriving in Calgary, Scott has gained extensive experience working with numerous technology-based clients, providing a wide range of services, including audit, securities work, and due diligence assignments.

 

Scott is a board member with the Alberta Science and Technology Foundation and also sits on the Accounting Steering Committee for the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. He is also the partner responsible for KPMG in Calgary's Campus Recruiting initiatives.

 

In his spare time, Scott is an avid golfer, and especially enjoys spending time with his wife and four young children.

 

Jenn Morgan

Jane Morgan

 

Jenn Morgan started her career at KPMG as a summer intern in 2006 and returned to Saskatoon to complete her Bachelor of Commerce degree at the University of Saskatchewan.  In the fall of 2007, Jenn decided to return to Calgary to work full time in the Oil & Gas Audit  group.  Despite her Saskatoon roots, she went on to complete the CASB program and pass the UFE in 2009.

 

While at KPMG, Jenn has been involved in recruiting activities, as a performance counselor, aided in Oil & Gas training sessions, and has the opportunity to travel abroad.  During the summer of 2011, Jenn completed a short work term in Australia and topped off the experience with some excellent travel.  Upon return to the Calgary office, she found herself packing her bags again to travel to Africa for work.   These opportunities have led to a passion for traveling.  Also, in her free time Jenn enjoys staying fit at the Bow Valley Fitness Club, playing golf, annual Palm Springs shopping sprees, and spending time with family and friends.

 

Taryn Wener

Taryn has worked in a variety of areas in her short time at KPMG; she started her career with KPMG as a co-op student in Toronto in the fall of 2005, and then made the move to Calgary to complete a term as a summer intern in 2006. Taryn returned to Dalhousie University to finish her Bachelor of Commerce prior to returning to Calgary to work full time in the Audit group in the fall of 2007. Taryn then went on to complete the CASB program and pass the UFE in 2009.

 

While working in the Calgary office, Taryn has had the opportunity to test out a number of different areas, working on large and small audit engagements, travelling across the country and over to London, preparing tax returns in the International Tax group, and working with the Campus Recruiting team on a 3-month temporary secondment in 2008. Upon passing the UFE and completing her third year with KPMG, Taryn took on a 1-year secondment working with the Campus Recruiting team as a Talent Attraction Specialist in the Calgary office and enjoyed this experience so much that she has now become a permanent member of the Talent Attraction Team!

 

In her free time, when she isn't too busy on campus, Taryn enjoys travelling, biking, volunteering in her community, and spending time with her family and friends.

Scott Verity has been a member of KPMG since 1985 when he joined one of its predecessor firms, Peat Marwick.  He became Office Managing Partner of the Saskatoon office in 2009.  Scott completed his Bachelor of Commerce at the University of Saskatchewan and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987. Scott is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Saskatchewan and currently serves on the Professional Conduct Committee.

 

Scott has a wide range of experience in Audit and Advisory services.  He has significant experience serving public and private clients in the resource, manufacturing, and financial services industries, as well as not-for-profit organizations.  Scott focuses on Canadian, US, and International accounting and financial reporting standards.
At KPMG, Scott is active with campus recruiting and performance management as a Performance Counsellor and a People Leader.  He is also the Saskatchewan Professional Practice Partner and Learning Leader.

 

Outside of work, Scott is an active member of the Saskatoon community, including the Avalon Community Association, Saskatoon Youth Soccer, Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce, and Northsask Business Association.  Scott is the Board Chair of St. James' Church and the Refinery Arts Centre.

 

Brittany Walter

Brittany Walter joined KPMG in May 2006 as a Summer Student and returned to KPMG full time in May 2007 after completing her Bachelor of Commerce (Honors) at the University of Saskatchewan.  Brittany completed the University of Saskatchewan Master of Professional Accounting Program in 2009 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Saskatchewan in 2010.

 

Brittany has been in the Saskatoon Audit practice for the past 6 years and is currently a Manager.  Throughout this time, she has worked with a variety of public and private company clients, specializing in the mining industry.

 

This is Brittany’s first year being involved with campus recruiting.  Brittany is also a Performance Counselor for several team members and the UFE Coordinator for the Saskatoon Office.

 

Brittany is committed to her community and is involved in a number of organizations including the Fairy Godmother Program at the Princess Shop where she serves as a mentor for young women in the community and Junior Achievement of Saskatchewan as a Company Advisor.

 

Paul Lepage

Paul Lepage

 

Paul Lepage joined KPMG in May 2008 as a summer student and returned full-time in September 2009 after completing his Bachelor of Commerce (High Honours) at the University of Saskatchewan.  Paul completed the University of Saskatchewan Master of Professional Accounting Program in 2011 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with the Institute of Chartered Accounts of Saskatchewan in 2012 (pending).

 

Paul has been in the Saskatoon Audit practice for the past 3 years and is currently a Senior Accountant.  Throughout this time, he has worked with a variety of public and private company clients, with emphasis on the mining and specialty aviation industries.  Paul continues to develop his professional education through pursuit of the Chartered Business Valuator designation.

 

This is Paul’s first year being involved with campus recruiting.

 

Paul is devoted to his community and is involved in a number of organizations including the Greater Saskatoon Chamber of Commerce Knowledge and Youth Development Committee, the University of Saskatchewan Undergraduate Edwards Mentorship Program, and the Saskatchewan Party.  Paul volunteers with all of these organizations to make Saskatoon and Saskatchewan a better place to live and do business.
