After finishing a degree in International development and Globalization at the University of Ottawa, Sarah started her first Summer Internship at KPMG in May of 2012. She will be starting her BComm in Accounting also at the University of Ottawa in the fall of 2012. During her summer internship at KPMG, Sarah has been involved with various volunteering opportunities.
When not at work, Sarah enjoys spending time with family and friends, going to the gym and doing outdoor activities. Sarah’s favorite part of the summer at KPMG was getting to know everyone in the office, participating in a recruiting event and getting involved in her community.
Pat have recently completed my first co-op work term in KPMG’s Ottawa audit group. Based on Pat’s co-op experience, Pat has developed a strong interest for clients in the real estate and construction industry. Pat is currently a third year student at the University of Ottawa pursuing a Bachelor of Commerce with a Specialization in Accounting. Pat’s passion for accounting and dedication to his studies has enabled him to excel academically. Furthermore, he is actively involved in the Telfer School of Management student community and has many extracurricular commitments. Pat is looking forward to serving as the President of DECA uOttawa and the Vice President of the University of Ottawa Accounting Club in the 2012-2013 academic year. In Pat’s spare time, Pat enjoys reading, running, playing soccer, playing with his pet lovebird, and spending time with his friends and large Italian family. Pat is also a huge fan of The Beatles, The Simpsons, and the James Bond film series.
Laura began working at KPMG in January 2011 as a co-op student during her third year of studies at the Telfer School of Management. Since then, she has completed three co-op terms working in both audit and tax. Laura has had the opportunity to work on a variety of audits for many different types of clients and has gained experience preparing U.S. and Canadian personal income tax returns.
Outside of work, Laura enjoys spending time with her friends and family, playing the piano, and travelling. A few years ago, Laura lived and studied in Switzerland for one year and travelled extensively while she was there. Laura’s favourite part of her co-op terms was meeting all of the KPMG staff and working together in a team environment.
Vincent joined KPMG in 2012 as a coop student in the audit division of the Ottawa office. Vincent is currently back at school completing the fourth year of his Bachelor of Commerce degree with specialization in accounting at the Telfer School of Management.
On his first work term, Vincent was fortunate to have two great travel opportunities to work on clients in Denver, Colorado, as well as in Haiti. Vincent is very excited to return to KPMG for his second work term starting in January 2013 to be able to reconnect with all the great coworkers he met during his time at KPMG as well as take on the many new great experiences that await him.
Outside of work and school, Vincent likes to keep busy playing various sports such as competitive beach volleyball, soccer, hockey and skiing as well as spending time with his girlfriend. Vincent also played on the championship winning KPMG hockey team which won the Ottawa CA hockey league title this past winter.
This summer, Jillian worked with KPMG’s Audit department in North Bay, as well as completing several engagements for the Enterprise department, which offered her exposure to a wide variety of clients and situations. Jillian is entering her final year at Nipissing University.
Jillian is a former weightlifter, and when she isn’t exhibiting her amazing feats of strength, she enjoys playing guitar and relaxing on the beach.
Jillian’s favourite memory from the summer is participation in golf events (which helped to hone her less than stellar golf skills), as well as the endless laughs had in the bullpen.
