Gerry Perras has been a member of the KPMG team his entire career. He joined the firm after graduating from the University of Manitoba with a Mechanical Engineering degree. Gerry has over 30 years of experience working with clients in both the public and private sectors. As a Partner in KPMG’s Audit practice, he has provided Audit and Business Advisory services to the clients he serves, and has assisted with acquisitions, divestitures, and strategic business planning. His clientele range from locally owned businesses to corporations with an international presence. He has specific experience in various industries, including transportation, leasing, manufacturing, construction, and not-for-profit.
While at KPMG, Gerry has been actively involved in human resources activities and campus recruiting.
Gerry enjoys spending his leisure time with family and friends at his family cottage, both during the summer and winter. He also enjoys golfing, fishing, snowmobiling, and other outdoor activities.
Rob Kowalchuk

Rob Kowalchuk has been a member of the KPMG team his entire career and is currently an Associate Partner in the audit practice. He joined the firm in after graduating from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelor Commerce (Honours) degree in 1991. Rob has served clients in both the private and public sectors in various industries including insurance, manufacturing, construction, consumer goods and not-for-profit.
Rob is presently the CA Training Officer and Assurance Learning Leader for the KPMG Winnipeg office and has also been involved with KPMG’s national training and campus recruiting programs throughout his career. He has participated on a number of committees through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Manitoba and currently serves on the University Recruitment Committee.
When not at work, Rob enjoys spending time with his family including his daughter and two sons who keep him busy with their various school and sporting events.
Shannon Magnusson

Shannon Magnusson first began with KPMG as a summer student in 1996 in the Winnipeg office, and in 2001 moved to the KPMG Slovakia office as a manager for a two-year transfer. Currently, Shannon works flexible hours as a part-time Senior Manager in KPMG Winnipeg’s Assurance practice. Shannon is involved in both public and private clients involved in manufacturing, retail, financial services and not-for-profits. Besides her involvement with clients, Shannon enjoys facilitating courses within the firm and is involved in various human resources activities.
Outside of work, Shannon is spending time with her three young children who keep her very busy and she enjoys playing golf in the summer.
Scott Sissons

Scott Sissons joined the firm in September 1997 after completing his B.Comm at the University of Manitoba. Scott is a Senior Manager in the Assurance practice and has a variety of clients in many interesting industries, such as real estate, insurance, manufacturing, financial services, and biotechnology.
While at KPMG, Scott spent 2 years in the Denver, Colorado, office of KPMG in the US as part of the Global Opportunities program. There, he worked on several interesting clients and in unique locations, from Beverly Hills, California, to Colstrip, Montana. Scott has been involved in campus recruiting in Winnipeg for 5 years.
Scott’s many pursuits in and out of the office include championing new emerging accounting areas, such as International Financial Reporting Standards, and spending time with family, playing sports, and enjoying the great Manitoba summers.
Heather Ritchie

Heather Ritchie joined KPMG in July 2003 as a Human Resource Administrator for the Prairies. In Oct. of 2004, she took on the role of Office Manager for the Winnipeg office.
During her time at KPMG she has been involved in the coordination of campus recruiting, people leader administrator, human resource coordinator, performance management for the administrative team, sustainability champion and firm events.
When she is not at work, she enjoys golfing, reading, movies and spending time outdoors.
