Bryan Lehman
lehmanbc@mcmaster.ca

This year was Bryan’s second summer internship with KPMG. Bryan started the summer by returning to work with the Financial Institutions Audit group. This opportunity allowed him to get an in-depth look into the structure and operations of Canadian banks. His second rotation was in the Advisory practice, where he spent six weeks. Last year, Bryan also worked in the US Corporate Tax group and learned a great deal about the preparation of corporate tax returns and tax legislation. Outside of work, Bryan spends his time playing hockey, going golfing, and scuba diving whenever possible.

Bryan’s favourite part of the summer was getting to go out to clients and take part in audits with the engagement teams. This helped him gain a greater understanding of how the auditing process works, and to acquire important technical skills he will be able to use in the future. Another highlight for Bryan was getting to know the other interns through the many trainings, socials, sports, and volunteer events that were held throughout the summer.
If you have any questions regarding the internship experience at KPMG, feel free to stop Bryan on campus or send him an email at

Patrick Morrison joined KPMG as a summer intern in both 2011 and 2012 where he worked with the Transaction Services Advisory practice. Patrick will return to McMaster University in September to complete the final year of his Honours Commerce degree at the DeGroote School of Business. Since joining the firm, Patrick has worked in support of a variety of acquisitions, primarily on behalf of private equity clients.

Patrick thoroughly enjoyed his two summer internship experiences at KPMG where he was given the opportunity to acquire skills, develop relationships and grow as an individual. The KPMG Summer Internship Program’s “Work hard, play hard” mentality made for two memorable summers with newly made friends. Patrick will return to school in the fall alongside his fellow colleagues from McMaster as a KPMG Campus Ambassador.

Outside of work, Patrick enjoys travelling, playing soccer and working out. During the 2011-12 school year, Patrick spent nine months on academic exchange in Japan where he learned to speak Japanese. Patrick plays soccer for KPMG’s GTA team, where he must run non-stop to compensate for his lack of soccer abilities! Within the next five years Patrick hopes to achieve his CA designation and climb Mt. Everest.
