A KPMG Campus Ambassador since May, Marie-Ève had no trouble deciding where to begin her professional career. It was important for her to join a firm that shows it believes in recruits right from the start by doing everything it can to fully develop and make use of their potential, and offers a pleasant work environment where excellent interpersonal relations are a given. This is exactly what she got at KPMG, and the fact that she was given the opportunity to work in the Indirect Tax practice over the summer proves it. When she isn't studying at HEC Montréal, Marie-Ève is a true sports enthusiast. The team sports she plays include softball, baseball, basketball and hockey, and she also likes skiing and snowboarding.

Evelyne is doing her Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at HEC Montréal and was honoured and proud to do a summer internship with KPMG in the summer of 2012. Her experience allowed her to perfect her administrative knowledge while giving her the opportunity to meet and work alongside people who are both real and respectful of others. The girl from the Laurentians is proud to say that she is part of the large KPMG family, which is socially involved in the community by encouraging volunteerism and sustainable development initiatives. Evelyne is passionate about dance and travelling. Although she has never had the chance to go to Europe, one day she will find a way to make this dream come true.

Elisabeth has been a KPMG campus ambassador since May 2012 and she already knows that the firm will be able to meet, and in fact largely exceed, her expectations. Elisabeth likes to be able to use her knowledge and to be part of a dynamic and ambitious team where people are respected. The staff at KPMG provided this environment from day one. KPMG believes in the potential of its people and is prepared to support them in their chosen career path while maximizing their development. Elisabeth immediately felt the support, the appreciation and the respect, three qualities that are important to her. She is involved in various sports in her free time, such as snowboarding, cycling, golf and several others. A student at HEC Montréal, Tanya was hired by the KPMG team in the fall 2010 campus recruitment campaign. Since starting she has been assigned to audit duties at KPMG Enterprise and has had the opportunity to work in various cities throughout Québec. The experience has given her a chance to meet people who are passionate about their work and to make new friends. Outside of the office, Tanya is actively involved in a number of voluntary effortsvolunteer activities. The KPMG Volunteers program has given her a way to help her community by supporting causes and organizations that she believes in.

Estelle joined KPMG for a summer internship in May 2011 after completing her second year of studies at HEC Montréal. She chose KPMG due to its dynamic team of professionals and the warm atmosphere. In addition, KPMG offers an environment that will allow Estelle to develop her career as a chartered professional accountant and to discover various aspects in the field of accounting given that it is a large firm that has a sizeable client base. She mainly worked on audits of public companies and risk management engagements during the summer. In addition, Estelle volunteers for several organizations. Together with her colleagues, she took part in various activities organized by the firm and was able to continue helping her community.

Laurence is studying at HEC Montréal and began working for KPMG as an intern in the summer of 2012. She knew when she first met KPMG staff members at campus recruiting events that she wanted to begin her career with KPMG and be part of this welcoming and dynamic team. Laurence found the internship to be a very rewarding experience in that it enabled her to learn more about auditing private companies. In her everyday life, she especially loves sharing good meals with friends.

Marilyn has just returned from spending a semester in Strasbourg, France, as an exchange student. She has now begun her wonderful experience of a summer internship with KPMG. Marilyn spent a few weeks working with the group specializing in scientific research and experimental development, which gave her the opportunity to learn more about taxation and determine whether she would like to work in this field. Moreover, Marilyn’s experience was very enriching and enjoyable since she was involved in the firm’s social committee. She loved working in downtown Montréal, a very vibrant area full of fantastic places!

Leyla is studying at HEC Montréal. She began her adventure in KPMG’s Montréal office during a summer internship that began in May 2012. She was assigned to Advisory Services, starting in the Risk Management group. Leyla was confident in choosing KPMG due to the firm’s ability to bring together dynamic and motivated people and employees. Her internship enabled her to understand auditing and how an accounting firm works. The various activities, KPMG’s staff and the other interns made it possible for everyone to become well integrated within this large, great firm. In Leyla’s eyes, KPMG is an inspiring firm that allowed her to develop several skills required for her position of Vice-President, Academic Affairs at HEC Montréal’s student association.

After returning from a trip to Europe as an exchange student, Catherine began her summer internship in accounting at KPMG. She is enthusiastic about the accounting profession due to the warm welcome that she received from KPMG’s team of professionals as well as the many possibilities that the firm, which boasts an international reputation, can offer to her. Catherine worked on engagements involving private companies and indirect taxation, and was able to broaden her accounting knowledge and put it into practice. Moreover, given her love of travel her attention was drawn to the firm’s Global Opportunities program. She would love to participate in this program.

Ludovic is studying at HEC Montréal and did a summer internship with KPMG in 2012. He was hired by the firm as part of the Fast Forward accelerated leadership training program. Ludovic never had any doubt that KPMG was the firm for him since its values include integrity, professionalism, drive, and openness to the world. These are the same values that he holds dear. KPMG’s social responsibility program, as well as the importance that it places on client relationships, were other factors that encouraged him to join the firm. During his internship, Ludovic was involved in various volunteer activities organized by the firm, in addition to the social committee, which allowed interns to connect and get to know one another better outside of work. Ludovic is passionate about politics and travel. He also loves movies and would enjoy talking to you about a good film!

Philippe is a student at HEC Montréal. In May 2011 he made his first foray into the accounting profession as a KPMG summer intern. As he sees it, the work environment and the friendliness of the firm's professionals immediately created the right atmosphere for developing the talents of each new recruit. It is precisely this ability KPMG has to bring people together that encouraged Philippe to choose the firm. Originally from Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean, he was somewhat hesitant to join such a large organization. But soon after starting with the firm, he realized that his apprehensions were unfounded, since everyone at KPMG gets lots of attention and support.

Adrien is a student at HEC Montréal and was recruited in the fall of 2010, just before he left for one term of study in Singapore as part of a student exchange. In the summer of 2011 he interned in both the Audit practice and the Research and Development department. Working as an intern at KPMG with a dynamic team that really listens to its members was a great way to learn more about the public accounting profession. It was also a chance to meet several experienced professionals who were willing to share their knowledge. Originally from Gatineau, Adrien really loves the pace of city life in Montréal, although this doesn't keep him from putting a lot of effort into his studies. In his spare time he likes cycling, skiing and travelling and loves spending time with friends and family.

Sophie is studying at HEC Montréal and was lucky to have been recruited for a summer internship in 2012. She found it easy to choose KPMG for this experience. The warmth that she saw right from the start, the professionalism, as well as the work atmosphere where people help one another, are all things that made KPMG stand out for her. While interning, Sophie had a chance to spend time working in Transaction Services as well as for public companies, which allowed her to learn a great deal and to meet many professionals. In addition to her studies, Sophie loves travelling and spending time with her friends and family. In fact, she took part in the Campus Abroad program, visiting China in the summer of 2011. This experience allowed her to learn a bit more about how the Chinese economy works and to discover Chinese culture.

Jean-Philippe is a dynamic and serious individual who loves to learn and loves sports. At KPMG, he found a perfect balance between learning the accounting profession and being involved in many sports activities organized by the firm. Working in the Enterprisethroughout the summer, Jean-Philippe got started in the profession by taking part in audits of local companies, which gave him wide-ranging experience as well as many challenges.

Jonathan takes his ambassador’s role to heart and likes to be involved in the recruiting activities organized by the KPMG team on university campuses, including his own campus at HEC Montréal. He is an extroverted individual and enjoys answering the multitude of questions asked by the candidates. Before officially starting his work as an intern in the summer of 2012, Jonathan had the opportunity to take part in Fast Forward, an accelerated leadership training program offered by KPMG in Hollywood. The firm provides various resources to its new employees and therefore, Jonathan found it quite easy to adjust to a professional environment during his first internship. In his second week on the job, Jonathan was seconded to the Tax team for a few weeks. This opportunity confirmed what he already knew: he finds tax work to be intellectually stimulating and wants to work as a tax accountant.

Raffaele is curious by nature and always knows what is going on in the news, in the field of science or in general. He is knowledgeable and sociable and that made him an ideal candidate for KPMG. He began working for the firm in the summer of 2012. Among his many projects and commitments, he is the president of VIDA (Vivre Intensément d’Aventures), the committee in charge of organizing sports activities at HEC Montréal. Raffaele is an avid extreme sportsman, and he also loves cooking.

Cédric is studying at HEC Montréal and joined KPMG’s audit team for a summer internship. He mainly worked on private sector companies but also had the opportunity to experiment with the firm’s broad range of services by spending a few weeks with the Indirect Tax group. This great flexibility as well as the many career possibilities that KPMG can provide are what convinced Cédric to join the team. While at the firm, he learned about the realities of business today in a large city and about tomorrow’s issues. Cédric loves music, cars and skiing and his experience with KPMG has opened the door for many possibilities for him to make his biggest dreams come true.

She loves travelling and was very interested in KPMG’s Global Opportunities program. In the summer of 2011, Lydia had the opportunity to take part in Fast Forward accelerated leadership training offered by KPMG in Hollywood. This program enabled her to meet some very passionate people from across North America and to take training that was very enriching from both a professional and personal standpoint. She was extremely impressed to see that KPMG employees are both real and professional. Lydia was happy to start her internship in the summer of 2012, first in the U.S. Tax group and then in Audit.

Geneviève is studying at HEC Montréal and did her internship at KPMG in the summer of 2012. One of the reasons why she chose KPMG was because she saw real and professional people in the recruiting activities. Geneviève was warmly welcomed into a large family–KPMG’s audit team. In fact, this is what motivated her to do her internship with us. While working at the firm, she had the opportunity to spend a few weeks in the Consulting practice in addition to getting a taste of the world of auditing. After spending a few years in university studying in other programs, she has discovered a passion for accounting, and this is in large part thanks to KPMG and its recruiting team. In her free time, Geneviève loves cycling, playing piano and reading, although she feels that her family and friends are the most important part of her life.

Following the university recruiting process, Isabelle was chosen to be part of KPMG’s team of interns. During her summer internship she audited public companies, which allowed her to come into contact with various clients and to strengthen her client service skills and business sense. Isabelle has a lot of energy and in her free time she loves to travel and play her favourite sports, which include volleyball and downhill skiing. Moreover, the flexible dates for completing her summer internship allowed her to travel around Europe in August. Throughout her internship with the firm Isabelle felt very comfortable and supported.
