Emily Durksen

Emily Durksen started at KPMG in January of 2010 as a co-op student and has worked a total of 1 year since then. She is currently enrolled in Brock University, completing her BAcc Honors Degree. In the past year, Emily has worked primarily in the Audit field. In her last co-op term she worked with the Enterprise group and the Canadian tax group preparing Review’s, NTR’s and corporate and personal tax returns. Through the Enterprise group Emily has been able to work with a variety of small clients. She has found working with this group has been a rewarding experience and has been one of Emily’s favorite jobs at KPMG.

Carrie Sportel

Carrie started with KPMG in January 2011 for her first co-op work term, and has just completed her third work term, over the course of her time; she has worked mainly in the Audit practice but also spent time completing personal tax returns in Canadian tax as well as US tax groups. She has worked with a variety of clients throughout her work terms. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with friends and family, and getting outdoors any chance she can get; this includes going camping during the summer and playing soccer.

Carrie’s favourite memory from her last work term was going on engagements she had worked before and seeing her improvement over the past year, you don’t realize how much you learn over the course of a year.
