Tricots operated a fabric manufacturing and dyeing factory. Production ceased on March 7, 2008. Worldwide competition no longer supported a sufficient sales volume to generate profit. Management decided to liquidate the company according to the Canadian Business Corporations Act.
An orderly liquidation plan was put in place to proceed to the sale of the company’s assets. The sale process and the distribution of amounts to creditors will be supervised by the Controller.
On March 31, 2008, the Superior Court of Quebec rendered an Order approving the process for production and treatment of claims that may exist against the proceeds of the sale of the assets. The deadline for filing claims is May 15, 2008.
ALL CREDITORS MUST FILE A PROOF OF CLAIM WITH THE CONTROLLER NO LATER THAN THE DEADLINE FOR FILING CLAIMS, FAILING WHICH THE CREDITOR SHALL BE DEPRIVED OF THE RIGHT TO ENFORCE ITS CLAIM AGAINST THE PROCEEDS OF THE SALE OF THE ASSETS, AND ITS RIGHT ON THE PROCEEDS OF THE SALE OF THE ASSETS SHALL BE HERETOFORE EXTINGUISHED WITHOUT ANY OTHER FORM OF NOTICE.
