Bobbi joined the firm in 1997 and has over 14 years of experience in public accounting, specializing in the Enterprise Practice and the not-for-profit sector. Her experience has been gained auditing public sector, not-for-profit and privately owned organizations.

 

Bobbi has been involved in the recruiting process for the past four years. She is also one of our GTA people leaders, driving the engagement of our overall strategy to attract, develop and retain the best and the brightest at KPMG.

 

Bobbi has a passion for working with not for profit and charitable organizations both in a professional capacity and in her spare time. She is the Current President, past Treasurer of the East Scarborough Boys and Girls Club and past Treasurer of the Best Start Health Coalition of Peel. She has also recently joined About Face International as a Board member.

Heather has been with KPMG for nineteen years, most of which has been spent within the financial services practice and specifically focused on banking and investment dealers.


She leads the Capital Markets team for one of KPMG's large banking clients, working with our team around the globe to deliver exceptional service.  She previously spent five years as the audit partner on the Wealth Management segment of another Canadian Bank. 


Heather is KPMG's National Investment Dealer Sector lead.  She is the past chair of the Investment Industry Regulatory Organization of Canada's Broker Auditor Committee.    She was a member of IIROC's IFRS advisory panel.


Heather's client experience includes Bank of Nova Scotia, Bank of Montreal, ING Bank of Canada, Genuity and Mackie Research Capital. 

Wendy Kwong
Senior Manager, Tax

 

 

Wendy joined KPMG in May 2003 after completing her Masters of Taxation at the University of Waterloo. Wendy started as a Tax Specialist in the Financial Institutions practice where she provided tax expertise to a variety of banks and investment dealers.

 

In 2009 Wendy transitioned to the National Tax practice where she now draws on her tax and client service experience to further KPMG’s knowledge management initiatives. Recent projects include redesigning the tax practice’s knowledge management system to improve its usability and overall effectiveness.

 

While at the firm, Wendy participated in a 3-month secondment to KPMG in the Netherlands as part of the Tax Trek program. Over the past few years, Wendy has also been active in recruiting activities for the tax practice. Outside of KPMG, Wendy enjoys vegetable gardening, hot coffee and the Big Bang Theory.

Salvatore joined KPMG in September 2001 after completing the Bachelor of Commerce program at the University of Toronto, St. George campus. Salvatore started with KPMG as a Staff Accountant in the Financial Institutions group, and earned his Chartered Accountancy (CA) designation in 2004.

 

While at KPMG, Salvatore has been heavily involved in campus recruiting, and was the manager in-charge of recruiting for the Financial Institutions group from 2007 to 2010. He recently took a 10-month secondment to the Ontario Securities Commission, where he worked in the Corporate Finance branch, reviewing and providing comment letters relating to reporting issuers’ continuous disclosure documentation.

 

Salvatore is a community leader within his group, ensuring that each social event that his group holds has a community aspect, and scheduling volunteer days for his group throughout the year. In his spare time, Salvatore enjoys playing hockey, soccer and golf.

 

Lawrence Kwong

Senior Manager, Tax

 

 

Lawrence began his career with KPMG as a co-op student while studying for his Master of Taxation at the University of Waterloo in 2005. Lawrence completed his undergrad with a Bachelor of Commerce from University of Toronto, St-George campus. Lawrence works in the Energy, Mining and Industrial tax group.

 

Lawrence’s primary focus is assisting his clients with tax compliance and advising them on tax implication of their day to day transactions. He has also been involved on various due diligence assignments and tax reorganization projects. Lawrence has been involved with campus recruiting since 2006.

 

Outside of work, Lawrence enjoys golfing and travelling.

  

Ana Chan

Ana Chan is a Senior Manager in our Enterprise Audit group. Ana joined KPMG Enterprise group in November 2007 as an experienced hire. Over the past years, Ana has been involved in variety of clientele - manufacturer, retailers, municipalities, educational institution, to name a few.

 

While at KPMG, Ana is heavily involved in campus recruiting events, including acting as judge in “Ace the Case” National Event, participating in Inside Look and Executive Look, and various campus recruiting events. In addition, Ana volunteers her time by participating in various external events e.g. Impact Conference, Project Winter Survival organized by the Bargain Group, etc. In addition, Ana is also an active member of the East Asian Network within KPMG.

 

Ana enjoys traveling and meeting new people in different cultures. Over the past few years, she traveled to the Tokyo, London, Brussels, Rome, Venice, Paris, Beijing, and Shanghai, to name a few. Ana also enjoys yoga and swimming.

 

Rishi Jain

Rishi Jain is a Manager in our Enterprise group. He joined the firm in 2004. He is currently working in the Enterprise practice with a multitude of small to large private clients.

 

Throughout Rishi’s seven years at KPMG, he has enjoyed many experiences and has a ton of exciting memories. Some of his favorites were passing the UFE and celebrating with his peers, being a UFE mentor and travelling to many exciting locations for his audit clients, including the US and throughout Ontario.

 

When Rishi isn’t working he spends his off time engaging in a variety of sports (volleyball, soccer and golf) and enjoying the company of family and friends.

 

Anuj Madan

Manager, Audit

Anuj joined the firm in the fall of 2005, having graduated from the University of Windsor. He started in the Consumer Markets audit group with a focus on servicing the automotive industry. In the fall of 2007, Anuj transitioned to the ICE audit practice due to a keen interest in working with clients in the telecom and technology space. Over the past few years, Anuj has worked on multiple audit & financial advisory engagements across a diverse client portfolio of fast moving technology companies and continues to enrich his experiences via exposure to large public companies as well as exciting new start-ups.

 

Anuj, asides from being a Chartered Accountant, is an MBA from INSEAD (France, Singapore) wherein he travelled the world, acquired a taste for Single Malts and also read a few books on strategy and corporate finance. Anuj is also a core memo of the KPMG India Desk and is actively involved in promoting KPMG as a valued service partner in the Indo-Canadian business corridor.

 

Outside of work, Anuj is a globetrotter and has lived in six countries across three continents.

 

Michael Ort

Michael joined KPMG in 2005 and in the Information, Communications and Entertainment audit practice for his career. Michael works primarily in the telecommunications and software industries, and practices in Canadian GAAP, US GAAP and IFRS. Michael is an alumnus of University of Toronto – St. George after graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce in 2005.

 

Michael is the UFE manager for the Information, Communications and Entertainment audit practice, and also participates in various learning activities. In serving in this role, he supports the KPMG UFE program locally and the writers with their studies for the qualification exams.

 

Michael was recently promoted to senior manager in 2011, and continues to support telecommunications and software focused companies. In his spare time, Michael enjoys playing hockey, golf and spending time in cottage country.
