KPMG to Acquire Consulting Firm Chartwell IRM Inc. 

Acquisition of leading Enterprise Architecture consulting firm will strengthen KPMG's Canadian Advisory Services practice

 

(Toronto – March 2, 2009) – KPMG LLP (Canada) announced that it has entered into an agreement to acquire Chartwell International Holdings Corporation and its wholly-owned subsidiary, Chartwell IRM Inc., a 35-member Canadian-owned consulting firm specializing in Enterprise Architecture and public-sector transformation. Subject to the fulfillment of certain closing conditions, the transaction is expected to be completed on April 1, 2009, following which KPMG intends to integrate Chartwell with its Advisory Services practice.

Bringing a 25-year reputation for independent recommendations and quality execution, Chartwell is a recognized leader in Enterprise Architecture, the application of structured methods and reference models to complex organizational change projects.
