This global study highlights the unique challenges and opportunities involved in healthcare mergers and acquisitions

The study found that healthcare mergers are quite unlike those in any other industry. High emotion, political undertones, access concerns and stakeholder influences all play a significant role in shaping the outcome of these mergers, particularly acute in the healthcare provider sector.

But there are also a number of key lessons that are cited by healthcare executives the world over. This study aims to provide a clear set of lessons and considerations for healthcare executives, system managers, government policy makers and private investors who are approaching a merger or acquisition.
