KPMG’s 2014 Global Aerospace and Defense Outlook

We are proud to present KPMG’s 2014 Global Aerospace and Defense Outlook. This year’s industry-wide survey of leading global aerospace and defense manufacturing executives provides a detailed overview of the global A&D manufacturing sector, along with insights A&D manufacturers can leverage to help their businesses succeed.

Our 2014 Global Aerospace and Defense Outlook suggests that the next few years will usher in an era of collaboration around products and services, R&D and access to markets. This will fundamentally change the way A&D organizations operate. However, adapting operating models to meet the resulting ‘disruptive complexity’ will be no easy task for A&D executives and may take upwards of five years to achieve. The report finds that A&D organizations would be well advised to start their planning now and offers key insights into how they may achieve this successfully, including:

  • Improving visibility into product cost and profitability to identify potential areas of growth and performance across the enterprise
  • Explore partnerships and collaborative business models to drive innovation, leverage synergies and improve returns on R&D investment
