Accounting Standards for Not-for-Profit Oganizations (Webcast Replay)

Canada’s Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) and Public Sector Accounting Standards Board (PSAB) are working to establish accounting standards for not-for-profit organizations. The PSAB issues standards for government not-for-profit organizations (GNPOs) and AcSB standards apply to not-for-profit organizations that are not controlled by governments. Both the AcSB and PSAB have issued exposure drafts that provide details on the proposed standards for the related organizations.

On Tuesday, June 22, 2010, KPMG professionals from our Not-for-Profit group discussed the proposed standards, including the following:

    • How to determine if you are a GNPO
    • What differences exist in the standards proposed by the AcSB and PSAB
    • The differences in the underlying reference standards.
