Canada Announces TIEA Negotiations with Panama

Finance has announced that Canada has been in negotiations with Panama for a Tax Information Exchange Agreement (TIEA) since March 27, 2012. The TIEA sets out a framework for exchanging information between countries to assist in the administration and enforcement of tax laws. The TIEA framework is based on the OECD's internationally agreed standard.
