We have confirmed with the CRA that this year's federal due date for filing corporate tax returns for corporations with December 31, 2011 year-ends has been extended to Tuesday, July 3, 2012. This is because the usual June 30 due date falls on a Saturday and the official Canada Day holiday is on July 2, 2012. However, where possible, returns for all jurisdictions should be filed sooner rather than later, especially since not all provinces may consider Saturday to be a "holiday" for purposes of determining provincial filing due dates.
