KPMG's leadership in the development of CSR in China was recently recognized at the Eighth Annual AmCham Shanghai CSR Awards Ceremony, which was held in April. At the event KPMG stood out from nearly 40 nominees, were presented with one of the longest running and most respected awards in China’s CSR community – the Leadership Award – and also received an Honorable Mention in the Partnership Award category for our dedicated support to Enactus (formally known as SIFE).
Launched in 2005, the AmCham Shanghai CSR Awards is one of the longest running and most respected awards programmes in China’s CSR community. For the eighth year, the awards recognised businesses that have made notable contributions to corporate citizenship in China. The winners have all demonstrated excellence in diverse aspects of corporate responsibility, including philanthropy, community outreach, volunteer programmes, environmental education, and corporate governance.
