KPMG International's Taxes and incentives for renewable energy - 2012 is designed to help energy companies, investors and other entities stay current with local country policies and programs supporting renewable energy around the world.
This year’s edition, compiled by KPMG’s Global Energy & Natural Resources tax practice, covers programs in 23 countries ― almost twice the number of countries covered in the 2011 edition. Readers will find in-depth discussions of recent policy developments in the world’s top five renewable energy producing countries – China, the US, Germany, Spain and Brazil.
Also included are overviews of specific investment and operating support schemes available in each of these leading countries, along with 18 others around the world. Local country programs outlined in the report involve energy generation from wind, solar, biomass, biofuels, geothermal and hydropower sources, as well as increased energy efficiencies, smart-grid technologies, carbon capture and storage technologies.
