China is undergoing a profound economic shift that it is still largely unknown to many people in the rest of the world. One area which has seen particularly explosive growth is technology, outsourcing and shared services.

Supporting this research, KPMG China conducted a number of interviews with senior executives of companies already based in Chengdu. A key message from those discussions was that Chengdu is now achieving a scale of operations where talent is being drawn from other parts of the country and where thousands of young graduates can see they have an attractive long-term career.
