KPMG's Individual Income Tax and Social Security Rate Survey 2011

This annual report is a cross-border survey of personal tax and social security rates with historical data from 2003-2011. The report covers 96 countries, concentrating on the highest level of personal tax payable to the central government. According to this year's report, while governments around the globe are seen to be using tax policy and rates to stabilize their revenue base due to changes in their economies, less than 15 percent of 96 countries from around the world recorded any change in personal income tax rates. In addition, not a single G-20 member reported a change to its top personal income tax rate.
