This year's survey is the largest to date and contains the summary financial information for 131 banks in China (including locally incorporated foreign banks for the first time) representing 87% of total banking assets. It looks at the development of the banking sector over the past year, particularly the rural banking sector, microfinance, SME finance, and diversification of Chinese banks into other areas of the financial services sector.
