The target operating model (TOM) is the means by which an organisation operationally delivers on its stated strategy. Put simply, when the strategy changes, so must the TOM. We see many organisations facing the need to change, driven by a combination of external factors (such as new regulations and changing consumer patterns) and internal factors (like the availability of talent, cost pressures on the business or the weakening of certain revenue streams).
