China alert: Transfer Pricing Focus - Issue 3, March 2012
On 24 February 2012, an article titled 'Monitoring multinational corporations' profit is a key focus in this year's anti-tax avoidance practice' (“监控跨国公司利润水平是今年反避税重点”, the 'Article') was published in the China Taxation Newspaper, which reviewed the anti-avoidance efforts by the State Administration of Taxation ('SAT') in 2011. Chinese tax authorities have been strengthening anti-tax avoidance efforts and expanding areas of enforcement in recent years. We will highlight the recent key developments in transfer pricing enforcement in China mentioned in the Article.
