According to statistics released by the Department of Trade in Services and Commercial Services under the Ministry of Commerce, 71,496 service outsourcing contracts were signed in China in the period January to June 2013. The contracts had a total value of USD 38.6 billion, representing a year-on-year increase of 41.1 percent. Furthermore, the amount executed so far is USD 27.31 billion, which represents a year-on-year increase of 39.5 percent. These figures underline the fact that China now has the fastest developing outsourcing sector in the world. Ninety percent of Fortune 500 enterprises engage in the development of some form of shared services or service outsourcing to enhance their competitiveness and innovation capabilities. Finding a way to seize the opportunities arising from the Chinese government’s support for share services and the service outsourcing industry is a vital topic that local governments and various enterprises need to focus on.

At this year’s summit, we shall be exploring a number of key areas and latest trends that corporates are focusing on in shaping their Shared Services and Outsourcing operating models:  Strategy, Best practices and Future outlook.
