With international economic conditions remaining uncertain, KPMG Restructuring is delighted to invite you to 90 minutes in the company of two of its most senior international leaders, together with a panel discussion featuring leading Asia-Pacific focused market participants.
Our international speakers are Philip Davidson, Global Head of Restructuring, and Richard Fleming, Head of UK Restructuring. Philip and Richard will develop current themes such as how the Eurozone crisis is now playing out, how the financial services sector is responding to the challenge (perhaps including a note or two on the recent decision of the Irish government to liquidate the remains of the Anglo-Irish Bank), and how insolvency practitioners are being creative with the legislative tools at their disposal to deal with distressed companies – a topic very relevant to, in particular, Hong Kong as the legislature grapples still with a re-write of our own insolvency regime.
Moderated by Eddie Middleton, our panel discussion will then pick up these themes and bring the discussion closer to home; hopefully with plenty of audience participation.
We are honoured to have on our panel Donna Duke, Head of Loan Management Asia Pacific of HSBC and Edward Cairns, Head of Restructuring and General Counsel of Clearwater Capital Partners Hong Kong, both of whom hold leading and influential roles in the distressed debt environment. They will be joined by Wilson Pang, now a partner in KPMG China’s Restructuring practice but also with a number of years’ experience in the banking and funds sectors. We do hope you will want and will be able to join us for what we hope to make a lively and stimulating event.
