Singapore is party to various FTAs which include the ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA), the ASEAN-China FTA, the ASEAN-Korea FTA, the ASEAN-Australia/New Zealand FTA, the Australia-Singapore FTA, the China-Singapore FTA, the Gulf Cooperation Council FTA, Jordan-Singapore FTA, the India-Singapore FTA, the Japan-Singapore FTA, the Korea-Singapore FTA, the New Zealand-Singapore FTA, the Panama-Singapore FTA, the Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Norway and Iceland-Singapore FTA, the U.S.-Singapore FTA and the Transpacific SEP (Brunei, New Zealand, Chile and Singapore). Singapore is also negotiating an FTA with Peru that should enter into force in 2009.
In order to qualify for preferential duty rates, companies must comply with the specific rules of origin for the FTA used.
