M&A Report

In addition to our M&A Yearbook we create a quarterly M&A reports that reflect the activities of the Swiss M&A market.

After getting off to a relatively strong start in the first quarter, developments during the first half of 2015 were, as a whole, merely moderate. With a total of 130 deals (-32.6%) worth USD 25.8 billion (-77.2%), the first six months of the year fell considerably short of the strong showing seen during the same period of the previous year, particularly in terms of transaction values. The sustained strength of the Swiss franc has caused a perceptible slowdown in the market. Yet the current situation not only presents Swiss companies with challenges, it also opens up new opportunities on the international M&A market.
