In order to better satisfy the specific interests of companies and private clients in Central Switzerland, KPMG has decided to pool its strengths in the Central Switzerland market region. This consolidation will enable an even more systematic exchange of knowledge and experience within KPMG’s Audit, Tax and Advisory functions. It will also simplify matters when consulting international experts from KPMG’s global network. This is extremely important in light of the dynamic development taking place in Central Switzerland’s economy since the region represents a diverse network of SMEs and large firms, some of which are focused on the domestic market and others on the export market.
KPMG Switzerland has appointed Thomas Studhalter (42), Partner, business economist HWV and certified accountant, as head of the new “Central Switzerland” market region. He will take over his new role on October 1, 2011, and will serve as Head of Audit in Central Switzerland at the same time. Thomas Studhalter began his career at KPMG in 1998 and acts as the mandate manager for various companies in Central Switzerland. Apart from his work with mandates and his management role, Thomas Studhalter is highly committed to promoting the economy of Central Switzerland as an Advisory Board Member of the Swiss Institute for Board Members (SIVG). Accordingly, he is also intimately familiar with the strategic issues of both SMEs and large corporations alike. Thomas Studhalter is married, has three children and as a former Olympic rower, actively supports the activities of the “Naturarena Rotsee” association.
