Ulrich Amberg (38), a certified IT engineer and certified industrial engineer, took over as Head of IT Advisory of KPMG Switzerland on 1 June 2012. Amberg has been working for KPMG since 2002 and was previously responsible for projects in the area of IT management and governance, IT risk management, information security, internal control systems and IT assurance. He played a key role in the successful development of this division which employs over 50 people in Switzerland.
“The importance of information technology as a strategic success factor is growing continuously,” Ulrich Amberg is convinced. “That applies to providers of financial services, the manufacturing industry and public administration alike. The great challenges – and opportunities – lie in IT virtualization, standardizing heterogeneous IT landscapes, optimizing business processes, reducing costs through off-shoring and outsourcing as well as protecting data and IT infrastructures.”
Ulrich Amberg will take over from Alain Beuchat who has accepted a new challenge outside the company.
