In order to provide its clients quick, competent support in the sense of a «one stop shop», KPMG has restructured its entire Advisory function and streamlined it even further: In the future, Advisory will be divided into two areas,
Transactions & Restructuring and Consulting. Transactions & Restructuring will be headed up by Peter Dauwalder, a new arrival to KPMG, as of 1 November 2013. Peter Dauwalder (46), graduate in business administration (lic. oec.) of the University of St. Gallen and certified accountant, has extensive, international advisory and management experience in the areas of transaction advisory (both on the buyer’s and seller’s side), valuation, capital markets and restructuring. Prior to joining KPMG he worked for two international consulting firms, initially as a certified accountant and later as an advisor.
Consulting will be headed up by Anne van Heerden. Anne van Heerden (47), Partner, certified accountant and Head of Forensic at KPMG Switzerland since 2003, has been working at KPMG since 1986 where he has spent the past few years systematically and successfully building up KPMG’s internationally-networked Forensic department. This department has since become Switzerland’s largest center of excellence for forensic and compliance services. Since 2009 he has also successfully set up Risk Consulting. Anne van Heerden will continue to perform his role as Head of Forensic at KPMG Switzerland in the future, as well.
