On 24 July 2014 the IASB has issued the final version of its new standard on financial instruments accounting – IFRS 9 Financial Instruments.

This new standard will replace IAS 39 “Financial Instruments: Recognition and Measurement”. It is worthwhile for industrial companies to analyze the new requirements and to weigh the advantages and disadvantages of an early application.
