Application for a license as asset manager of collective investment schemes

Asset managers of Swiss collective investment schemes must obtain a license from the Swiss Financial Markets Supervisory Authority (FINMA) before commencing operations.

Asset managers of foreign collective investment schemes may, under certain conditions, request approval from FINMA. The Federal Act on Collective Investment Schemes (CISA), the Ordinance of the Swiss Federal Council on Collective Investment Schemes (CISO) as well as the FINMA Ordinance on Collective Investment Schemes (KKV-FINMA) define the conditions for approval.
